History
The Fulton Wrestling Club was established in 1981 to serve as a youth development program designed to increase the awareness and participation in the sport of wrestling in Fulton. The FWC is one of the oldest and most successful youth sports program in Callaway County. Many high school state medalists & state champions have participated in the FWC. Through the years, many dedicated volunteer parents and coaches have been involved with the FWC, insuring it’s continued existence and success. Since 1984, the FWC has hosted the Fulton Wrestling Classic youth tournament. In 2006, the Fulton Parks and Recreation Department took over the sponsorship of the FWC in an effort to bring more support to the Club. Today, the club is stronger than ever with an average annual membership of 40 wrestlers and a continually growing group of dedicated parent volunteers.
