Rules
General Rules To Be Followed
1. Wrestlers are responsible for being at their mats on time for their assigned matches.
2. Wrestlers need to obey the oficials on the mat at all times, even if they think the official is wrong. It is not the place of the wrestler to debate a ruling from the official.
3. The wrestlers are to look after each other at all times. We are a team that looks out for each other.
4. A wrestler will not knowingly cause an injury toward an opponent.
5. Injuries often are a result of horseplay. This should be kept to a minimum at practice and tournaments. Older wrestlers should set a good example.
6. Lack of respect for coaches, officials, teammates, or members of other clubs will not be tolerated.
7. School work comes first!!!
8. Be honest about injury, if you are hurt, say so. If you feel sick, say so. If you need to leave the mat during practice due to injury or sickness, let a coach know.
9. Wrestlers will be on their best behavior at all practices and especially at tournaments. The wrestlers are to represent themselves, their club and their community in a positive manner.
10. Older wrestlers need to set a positive example for our younger wrestlers.
Above all we hope that all the wrestlers have fun, and develop a sense of accomplishment for a job well done. Whether they win or lose. In addition, we want them to have pride in themselves and in the Marceline Kids Wrestling Club.
We as parents need to do our part in supporting our wrestlers by staying involved in the club and taking an active role in making sure that all aspects of the club run as smoothly as possible. Just remember, your wrestler is involved in one of the most demanding sports. They need your support. Cooperation between the parents and the club is very important towards the success of our wrestlers and our club as a whole.
