Varia
October 30, 2004 was a day for the record books. Why, you
ask? Well the Cajon girls cross country team won their first
ever SAL title. Kelsea Plimmer paced the field for our first
ever SAL league champion to boot. Our boys ran their hearts
out just minutes after the girls victory to finish in a tie with
San Gorgonio high school. They lost the league title to San
G on a tie breaker.
The Story
The Cajon girls program rose to the challange of a strong
San Gorgonio team to capture our first ever SAL title @ San
G's home course. Kelsea Plimmer covered the San G
course in 19:23 overcomming an early race challenge from
teamate Lauren Nila who finished 2nd. Nikkie Chesnut was
4th followed by Angelica Lopez 12th and Danielle Fletcher in
15th. With cajon racing without top five runner Michelle
Fletcher and a usual top five having an off day, San G made
it a bit close at the end falling 4 points short of the cowgirls.
Cajon had four runners make the all-SAL team. (Plimmer,
Nila, Chesnut, Lopez)
The boys race was interesting to say the least. Cajon had
an awsome performance as a team. "They ran their hearts
out." In the end, we finished in a tie with (host) San G at
50-50. They won the league title in a 6th runner tie breaker.
Sure we were a bit disappointed. There were a few
opportunities that we could have faired better in but we
could ask nothing more of our guys out there. In a time
when our 3-5 guys needed to do better, they did their best.
We'll take it. Cajon trailed both San G and San Bernardino
going in to the final meet. We ran past San Bernardino and
gave San G everything we could throw at them. They
deserved to win. Cajon was led by Ulmer once again in
under 17 minutes. Alex Aguirre ran a personal best 16:59 to
place 2nd for cajon. Chris Cordova picked up the final
All-SAL patch with his 14th place finish.
In the JV race finale, Rae Anne Resendez placed 2nd and
earned a spot on the CIF team with Holly Crise who earned
her spot on CIF team after running great at Mt Sac. Carsten
Galindo ran well enough in his JV race to earn himself a
spot on the CIF roster with Matt Younkman.
Mt
Sac Results
Mt Sac proves to be a test for some, a lesson for others
and a Championship for Cajons freshman girls.
With the boys comming off a very vigorous week of training,
times were a little higher than expected. Cajon was led by
Ulmer in the Varsity race, running 17:46. The boys Soph
team was in a tie for 6th, even with our #5 runner 50 spots
behind #4. Good performances were handed in by Elliot
Holt and Matt Younkman today. Others ran decent but none
were really satisfied with their day. Henery Yamamoto of
Brasil finished his first race at the famed course in 23:59.
"Viva Brasil"
Our girls freshman team dominated their heat at SAC
placein our top 5 in the top 15 spots to win the team title.
Kelsea Plimmer edged Lauren Nila at the tape this week to
grab the 3rd place finish. Last week, it was Nila sprinting
past Plimmer. Nila was 4th followed by a slightly injured
Nikkie Chesnut comming up big for us in 7th. The suprise of
the day had to be the Fletcher twins finishing in 14th and
15th over all. They helped lock down the win by 34 points
over Buena (34-68). Radni Spray sure is on the move
finishing in the top 7 for Cajon today in that race. Times are
on the link at race # 55.
Cajon was the 5th best freshman team of the over 640
schools competing at that level. When we factor in varsity
freshman girls from other teams, we are a solid 8th at the
meet. Ladies, you have no idea how proud we are of you.
The scary thing is, we got lots more in us. We are
approaching our peak and we are determined to state our
case at CIF Prelims at SAC on November 13th. WOW
Cajon Boys 3rd; Girls first at SAL Mini #2
Cajon boys took a slide to be in a tie for second with San
Gorgonio with League Finals looming in the near future. We
control our destiny. If we are first at Finals, we are league
champs with number 1 seed to CIF. If we are second at
Finals, We are number 2 in league with a # 2 seed. If we are
3rd at league finals, we are the #3 seed. If we are fourth, we
are done.
On a positive note, Kameron Ulmer won the Varsity boys
race and could be considered a favorite to win the league
individual title.
The Girls ran "ok" to quote most. Kelsea Plimmer ran away
with the win and two others veered of course in the final
100m to weaken our team score a bit. Still, the Cowgirls led
all scorers finishing first again. Title in reach, we must run
well at San G's home site to capture our first ever league
SAL title.
Cajon Has Decent Day At Inland Meet With A Few PR's
Set And Three Runners Earning All-County Status
Inland Results
Also, Go to LINKS to find these and other results
Cajon has decent showing at Inland meet. Our fabulous trio
of Kelsea Plimmer, Nikkie Chesnut and Lauren Nila duke it
out once again running sub-20 with Nila leading Cajon this
time by the smallest of margins over Plimmer with Chesnut
not far back. The freshman group were awarded plaques
and named the 3rd, 4th and 5th place freshman in San
Bernardino County. The team finished 10th out of 10 also by
the smallest of margins just 1 point behind Rancho Verde
and Canyon Springs, and just 5 points out of 6th. Angelica
Lopez turned in a lifetime PR to be Cajon's 4th finisher.
Michelle Fletcher rounded out the top five with another
consistant run. We still need stronger performances in that
4-5 spot as league meets approach and Mt SAC lurks in the
not so distant future.
Our boys Frosh Soph team faired well without top runner
Chris Cordova. They just missed a trophy placing fourth.
Joey Ybarra ran a personal best which was paced by Alex
Aguirre with Patrick St Louis in third, Jimmy Fowler with a
PR in fourth and Elliot Holt running a suprising 5th for
Cajon
in a PR of just over 21 minutes.
Yucaipa proves thoughts that Cajon is strong this
season
Cajon beats Yucaipa, heads up 28-29, for first time in
over 25 years.
Moving to DIV I could have proved to be a disaster for some
teams, but Cajon rose to the challenge on 10-2. The Varsity
girls team of five freshman, a Jr and a Sr faired very well.
Cajon placed 3 in the top 25 to lead us to a 9th place finish
out of over 22 teams. Ninth against that field is well
respected. As we continue to search for a consistant 4-5
runner, new faces claim the roll with Angelica Lopez proving
stronger. Kelsea 19th, Nikkie 22nd and Lauren N 25th were
all under 21 minutes on the course. Although Yucaipa
scored 201 to Cajons 221, when placed heads up, were
triumphed over the Thunderbirds by a point.
On the boys side, Kameron Ulmer was cajons only varsity
race runner. He ran a tactical race to finish in what coach
Abrams thinks was his lifetime best performance of 16:46.
The time was a mirror of what he raced at Woodbridge, a
fast, flat course. Although he has run a few clicks faster, it
was the race of his carrer as Yucaipa has a very tough
course. The Cajon boys F/S team grabbed some hardware
finishing 4th in division I. Cordova, Aguirre and Ybarra ran
very well to lead the team. Other scorers were Patrick St
Louis and Jimmy Fowler. Anthony Rader and newcommer
Matt Younkman led cajon in the JV race. Both were under 20
min.
SAL MINI meet @ Pacific
Visit the LEAGUE to see 2004 scores and rankings.
Cajon ran in their first league mini meet of the 2004
season.
The meet took on a whole new look with Yucaipa and Colton
moving to the CBL. This year we welcomed Carter High.
Cajon ran in a pack of 4 up front for the entire duration of the
girls varsity race. With an Arroyo Valley runner fading in the
last half mile, Cajon finished in the top four places. Nikkie
Chesnut took command down the switchbacks followed
closely by Nila, Plimmer and Jordon. During the last 400m,
Chesnut pulled away, however Jordon came from fourth to
second in the last 100m to finish in a season best 21:46.
Also behind race winner Chesnut (21:30), was third place
Kelsea Plimmer in 21:46.8 and Nila in 21:47. Senior
Lauren
Skidmore placed in the top five for Cajon girls for the first
time in her high school career finishing 12th in 23:45.
Michelle Fletcher raced to 14th in 24:01 followed by Amanda
Hodge in 24:34.
The victory was a first for a Cajon girls team in their history
in the SAL. With the freshman running well and veteren
Jordon on the move, Cajon should fair to be a contender in
the CIF this season. We run at our best in a pack and we
feel that we have three others ready to join our top four very
soon.
The Cajon boys raced to a second place finish behind San
Bernardino. Kameron Ulmer led most of the way but faded
to third with a time of 17:56. Chris Cordova ran off his usual
pace to finish 7th in 18:33. Alex Aguirre was the last of the
cajon runners to crack 19 minutes on the hilly Pacific
course
finishing in 18:51. Mike Hernandez, comming off some time
off finished in 19:15. Cajon faded late and it's fifth place
runner Anthony Rader, a first time league scorer, was 23rd
in 20:12. Ybarra and St. Louis were at 20:33 and 20:45
respectively.
Junior Varsity Update
Allie Lopez won the junior varsity race running away from
Carter's number one runner late in the race. She finished in
23:52, which factors in as our sixth fastest time of the day.
Angelica Lopez and Danielle Fletcher were third and fourth.
Raquel Arellano and Raeanne Resendez rounded out the
top five in 8th and 10th. JV team was 1st ahead of San G.
Carsten Galindo paced the boys JV finishing in 4th (20:48,
Jimmy Fowler placed fifth, Matt Younkman seventh, Isiah
Alonzo tenth and YeeLong Yang rounded out our top five
finishing in 15th. JV team was second behind San G.

Cajon is off to the Riverside Co vs. San Bernardino Co
showdown, better known as the above title. The Cajon girls
team has been invited to run in the sweepstakes division
against many of our states best teams. It is an honor to be
invited, and we will accept the invitation. "It's all about
performance times and mental toughness," states coach
Abrams. We aren't there to win medals or trophies. We are
there to prepare ourselves for tough competition that we will
soon face in the post-season. Other teams entered
are....Murietta Valley (ranked #2 in CIFSS DIV 1), Rancho
Verde, Los Osos, Rancho Cucamonga, Great Oak (ranked
#9 in CIFSS DIV 4), Rim of the World, Canyon Springs,

Kameron Ulmer just may break into the 15's after his solid
performance at Yucaipa.

Cajon Girls Get Ink In Sun Newspaper 9-30-04
Cajon squads get first big test against some of the county's
best teams at the Yucaipa Invitational. Cajon has a few boys
who are poised to set personal records at the famed
Yucaipa course. This will be the last time we will run on this
course as it is. Construction will move in and alter the
course soon after the meet. Kameron Ulmer has season
goals to break 15:40 and may get close to the 15's on this
tough course this weekend. He seems determined to be
SAL league champion this season. Chris Cordova is
comming off an injury and seems ready for the hills. Alex
Aguirre has been closing the gap on our top two and Mike
Hernandez will compete with others to give Cajon a more
solid top 5.
Cajon will be led by a strong freshman group at Yucaipa.
They look forward to the competition and should run very
well. Anjelica Lopez is showing signs of breaking up our top
five along with Amanda Hodge. Cajon will need to get real
strong in that 4-5-6 position to do damage in the post
season.

RESULTS
Although the stats aren't in from the meet, cajon ran very
well, as a team. Quayle reported the good news to coach
Abrams via cell phone from the meet. While talking to
Quayle, I could hear while they announced Cajon as a
trophy winner. According to Quayle, we had a few kids set
personal records. Among them were Alex Aguirre 17:09,
Amanda Hodge 20:33, and Nikki Chesnut broke the 20:00
barrier for her first time finishing in 19:42. Lauren Nila set a
PR running 19:29. Kelsea Plimmer set the pace for the girls
once again finishing in the top three again for the 5th
straight race finishing with a solid 19:21. Hodge, Skidmore
and the Lopez duo paced the Jr/Sr girls to a first place finish
in that division.
All times will be posted once they are sent to dyestat.
GREAT JOB CAJON (Your coaches are proud.) A Special
thanks goes out to those parents who continuously support
our athletes and coaches.

CAJON FRESHMAN GIRLS OUTRUN THE FIELD AT
WOODBRIDGE!!
Cajon had an average day as a whole at Woodbridge
yesterday, but in part, the Cajon Freshman team had a day
to remember. The big white "C" was very clear and it wasn't
long before others were in search of the missing letters.
"That's Cajon!" said Coach Abrams at the half-way point of
the race as coaches were asking each other (Who has 3 in
the top four?).
Kelsea Plimmer led a sea of green and white through two
miles as the race leader. She was followed closly by Lauren
Nila in 3rd and Nikkie Chesnut in 4th. The race came down
to a kick where Kelsea over took Salazar of Palm Springs
with 100m to go. Salazar surged ahead down the stretch in
19:16 followed by Plimmer of Cajon in 19:18. Lauren Nila
held her 3rd position finishing in 19:35. Nikkie Chesnut
raced Guerra of Loara HS to finish 5th. The Fletcher twins
were a major key in our victory, racing passed runners in the
closing minutes to place 22nd in 21:44 for (Shelly) and 28th
in 22:12 for(Danielle). Another strong performance was
recorded by Elizabeth DeCecio finishing 34th in 22:44. All
were lifetime best performances. CIF officials were
interested in knowing the name of our school.
When all was said and done, Cajon outran every freshman
team in all four divisions buy minutes with a team time of
1:42:53. Plimmers time held to make her the second fastest
freshman of the day in those races.
Our boys day turned into an individual affair as 3 of our top
seven were out. Ulmer paced a blistering 4:52 first mile in
the junior race. He was in a race for second at the half-way
point where he faded a tad to finish 13th in 16:30, one
second off his season PR set at Colton (16:39). His rapid
first mile was followed by a 6:11 second mile recovery. He
finished with a kick in his 5:33 last mile. Chris Cordova also
went out fast in his sophmore race. He clocked
5:0something in his first mile and finished in 17:01, a
personal best. Coaches noticed a strong performance from
newomers Matt Younkman and Yee Long Yang, who
finished a few clicks over 20:00. Eyes are on Younkman to
run sub 18:00 this season after more practice.

The Cajon teams ran well in their non-league dial vs Apple
Valley. The boys packed 4 on the top five while freshman
Kelsea Plimmer runs away with the girls race. On the heels
of a boys win, the girls narrrowly missed victory without
captain Kim Jordon and outstanding freshman Lauren Nila.
Plimmer navigated the course in just under 22 minutes to
victory. Following Plimmer, Apple Valley sent 4 of the next
five across the line. Nikki Chesnut (freshman) was second
for Cajon and 5th overall.
On, Saturday with Lauren Nila in the line-up, Cajon soared
through the freshman race placing 5 in the top 10.
Plimmer,Nila, and Chesnut were 3rd-5th respectivly. The
Fletcher twins rounded out the top 10 and the Cowgirls were
off to a commanding lead. With Inland powers Redlands
East Valley, Perris, Norta Vista, Colton and Hi Desert's
Apple Valley, the day would be full of suspense for coaches.
With East Valley's seniors running later in the day, there
was
a chance that our times would hold up, especially after
Amanda Hodge's winning performance in the junior race in
a career best 20:47.
At days end, Cajon found themselves in a solid second
place position outsting Apple Valley for the runner-up trophy.
Our boys put together a show of their own. After a few new
freshman ran in their first race ever, and competing very
well, sophomore chris cordova held a lead for most of his
race, only to fade to a strong third place finish in 17:13. Alex
Aguirre was closing fast and finished 4th in 17:34. The
suprise of the race was Patrick St. Louis who improved 2:30
minutes from Thursdays hill course to run an 18:06
personal record. Mike Hernandez and Kameron Ulmer were
business as usual finishing strong in their races. Ulmer
ran
a blistering 5:05 first mile keeping up with some of the
nations best from Don Lugo for a moment in time. He lost
only 1 spot after the mile and missed a lifetime best by 3
seconds. He crossed in 16:39. Hernandez held off the heat
of 100 degrees and 10000 % humidity to run a solid 17:54
in the days last race. Cajon finished 4th, running past
teams like Norta Vista, San Gorgonio, Colton, San
Bernardino, Apple Valley, Duarte, San Jacento and
La Quinta, all of whom have beat us in 2003. Beaten only by
the 8th ranked team in the nation Don Lugo and a deep
Etiwanda team, Cajon looked sharp.

Nikki is one of our outsdanding freshman class. She was
born right here in San Bernardino, CA in 1979. Here are a
few facts about Nikki:
Favorite Color = Green
Favorite Number = 8
Favorite Animal = White Tiger
Favorite Movie = Miss Congeniality
Nikki's career performance thus far is her 8:40 in the 2000m
Steeplechase at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, OR this
passed summer. She has run a 3 mile PR of 20:14 but has
season plans to go under 19:30. At the rate of her progress
and commitment, She will have to change that goal to sub
19:00, coaches think.
"Our team goal is to win league," stated the fiery freshman.
Nikki admits, "I have been working harder as a runner than
ever before." She attributes this to a solid team around her.
Fellow newcommers Kelsea Plimmer and Lauren Nila have
been running in the same pack with senior captain Kim
Jordon. When asked, Nikki said she has two role models.
Kim and Amber are "my role models." She believes that Kim
is inspiring and Amber has a "great attitude."
Nikki see's Kelsea and Chris to be the hardest workers in
our program. With hard work, Nikki may acheive her goal of
sub 18 minutes come her senior year.

CAJON SPLITS AGAINST APPLE VALLEY WITH BOYS
GOING 2-3-4-5, COWGIRLS HOWEVER GET REVENGE AT
COLTON SWARM!!!!!
9/9/04
Our season opens today in a home dual vs. Apple Valley.
CAJON OPENS 2004 SEASON @ HOME vs. APPLE VALLEY
On September 9, 2004, we host Apple Valley in a
non-league dual meet in the hills behind Cal State.
Temperatures are expected to be high and our start time will
likley be moved to 4:00 or 4:30 beginning with the JV boys,
JV girls, Var boys, Var girls.
With high expectations, we enter the season expecting to go
undefeated. Apple Valley is a huge test as our girls were
outsted at the away meet last season. With our core of
improving freshman, we will compete this year on a new
course. Our boys won last year on a 6th runner tie breaker.
We hope to run a good pack time this race.
Results will be posted and times recorded here on site by
Friday afternoon. Use the STATISTICS/STANDINGS icons to
find girls and boys times this season. You may find a race
report on the HOME page and/or this NEWS section.
Starting next week, we will feature two athletes or more a
week. It will be sort of an interview to get to know our
athletes. This will be found in the VARIA section each week.
07/26/04
Over the weekend, four of Cajon's newcommers ran at the
USA Junior Olympics. As news from the meet in Eugene,
OR rolls in, we have learned that Kelsea Plimmer finished
2nd in the 3000m with a time of 11:32. She ran 5:45 pace in
the 1500 the following day but we are still unsure of the
1500 time. She finished 11th in that race.
Cajon athletes sold 41 gold cards during practice today
adding $205 dollars to our teams funds. Cajon also
welcome back Brooke Rodriguez.
07/24/04
Early season practice is going well. We have 40 atrhletes so
far and many new kids with some good quality. Alex Aguirre,
Yee Long Yang and Jeff Greenan are some of the new
aditions making strides this year. Kelsea Plimmer ran sub
11:30 for 3000m in Portland!!!! (WOW) More news to come
soon as it rolls in from the Oregon Track Meet.
07/06/04
We held our first meeting with the freshman today. We have
10 new faces and look forward to many more by the time
practice starts on July 15th. Roadrunners Nicole, Danielle,
Michelle and Kelsea should make an impressive impact to
a strong girls squad. We only lost one varsity runner on both
teams so we should have a great year. We plan to go to
Mammoth the week of August 15-21. Runners should
prepare themselves for the mileage that summer practice
demands. GET STARTED, listen to your body, run
consistant.
10-22-03
Mt SAC start times are posted on HOME page of this site. I
will try to adjust races to make them work for those athletes
who I have spoke with.
Three fires in our valley have put a damper on our practice
week forcing the cancelation of practice today. Following my
better judgement, we cancelled due to poor and unhealthy
air quality. we will meet for training and Coldstones on
Thursday.
10-15-03
Cajon teams remain in 3rd place after 2nd SAL mini meet at
Colton. The Boys closed the gap on San Bernardino by
finishing a close 4 points behind. They need to shut that
door at Yucaipa to stop not only Berdoo but a fast
aproaching Colton squad who finished 6 points behind us.
A loss to Colton at SAL finals would put an end to the
cowboys charge.
The girls lost some ground to Colton and San Gorgonio is
only 6 points behind heading to league finals. We need to
beat them at finals or our season ends. We know what we
can do to improve and will focus on those very things the
next 17 days. We have a few individuals on the boys team
who are making huge progress including Jimmie Fowler
and Joey Ibarra. Kim Jordon is comming into form and we
have a pack chasing Angelica, who is holding her own with
her bothered calf, for the #2 spot. Amber and Britanny are
working well together and are poised to gain a few positions
at Yucaipa.

Practice at Colton
10-10-03
No Practice today.
10-9-03
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!!!!
Yes the CC team tossed the pigskin around after practice
Thursday. After Coach Abrams team took an early 14-0 lead,
Coach Quayle traded Daniel Fenn for Nick Sams, who
dropped a couple conversion passes. After the trade,
Quayle and the Yellow ran, threw and flew to vistory. Samms
started catching the ball, Hodge had a couple TD's and they
sacked Abrams for a saftey. Red could not get the running
game going. they had about 20 yds rushing on over 12
attempts. Abrams threw 3 INT's and only 2 TD's as the Red
team trounced the Yellow, 35-31.
10-6-03
Our 800m workout went extremely well today. Both varsity
squads fought to stay and a tightly grouped pack. Our boys
were increasing the pack time with each passing 800,
holding 4 in the group thru the workout. Our girls also held
4
strong thru 5 intervals. On the last 800, they ran their fastest
time. Girls were clocking sub 3:25 and they guys were under
2:40.
10-4-03
Yucaipa Invitational was voluntary this season but those
who showed up came to run. All but two runners PR for that
coarse this year. Holly Crise moved up to Varsity after an
impressive FROSH/SOPH race performance. Kameron laid
back the first mile to help him improve over his fast start at
SAL.
Also turning heads was Patrick St. Louis running 18:19 to
improve over a minute, Garrett and Jimmie ran much better
and our team competed without 2 of our top runners.
Krista Johnson improved over 5 minutes at Yucaipa. We
had two teams finish 1 place away from a team trophy.
(AGAIN)
If we can get all our athletes to these races we could win
some hardware. Great Job Everybody.
10-2-03
Those who didn't make it to practice Wednesday made up
for it today. Kameron is beginning to follow Brandon on
some adventures. Today their plan backfired as Chris L was
seen leaving the scene of the 5 mile mark with two
not-so-hot blondes. The two were detained and returned to
the scene of the incident. There they resumed their run but
were caught clownin and were detained once again and
brought back to the scene. They eventually evaded the
coaches and were contacted via cell in very tired conditions.
Kim and Nicole ran a nice 4 1/2 miles before excepting are
ride from a relative where they when they were caught with a
mouth full of somewhat valid excuses. It was all-in-all a very
fun experience for the coaches and athletes. Come to
practice, it can be really fun and longer than expected when
one diviates from the directions.
10-1-03
Coaches have been busy finding new places to run.
Yesterdays 8 1/2 mile run was new and we have a
somewhat new out and back which totals 10 miles.
9/29/03
Great interval workout at new location. Both Varsity teams
run consistant times for 600m repeats. Fastest time of the
day...Sorry but it goes to coach Abrams with a 1:35. Sorry
Kameron. Even though I only ran one, I smoked ya.
Nobody hung with Kim and her 1:47. Great job!!!!!!!!
UPDATE>>>>NO PRACTICE FRIDAY
9/27/03
It was a cool day in Dana Point today. The marine layer
pushed away the heat and helped produce some good
times. The day started with the Senior Boys race where
Trent Greenan raced to a 47th place finish in 16:40. It was a
close race between he and a few San Bernardino runners
who edged Greenan at the finish. In the Junior race, Mike
Hernandez raced to a sub 17:20. The top time of the day
went to Kameron Ulmer in the Sophmore race clockin in a
second ahead of Greenan in 16:39. With an early rush,
Ulmer was up front but faded during the last two miles to
finish 14th after a nice last 1/4 mile. Cajon's suprise of the
day was in the freshman race. Patrick St. Louis used a
steady race pace to reel in top Cajon Freshman Chris
Cordova in the waining seconds of the race. They ran 17:38
and 17:40 respectivly. Cordova proves to be very consistent
following up his 17:36 at Woodbridge with another good
performance. Three other Cajon Freshman went under
20:00 for the first time.(Garrett Beach 19:13; Coty Duke
19:24; Jimmie Fowler 19:43.
The Girls were short-handed today without #2 Angelica and
top 7 runner Amanda Hodge. Still the Cowgirls hung in and
performed well. Captain Kim Jordon continued to improve
placing 14th in her Jr/Sr race in 19:24. She ran strong the
entire race and seemed to find her groove running a solid
last mile to crack the top 15. Three Sophmores ran under
22:00 led by Nicole Snellings 21:23; Amber Qureshi 21:31;
Jewley DeCecio 21:56.
Many Cajon Freshman had their best performances
including Mayoral, Hadley, Escalante, Polley, Sproull,
Aguirre and Fenn.

We are on the eve of the Dana Hills Invitational. Our site is
operational and we encourage you to view all the pages.
Both boys and girls teams finished 3rd in SAL league
competition at our first MINI @ Yucaipa High on 9/24. Kim
Jordon led the way for the cowgirls placing 9th. She was
followed by Lopez, DeCecio, Qureshi and Hodge. They
finished a ways behind a young Colton squad.
The Boys were led by Trent Greenan who ran 17:40, enough
for a top 10 finish. He was followed by Hernandez, Ulmer,
Cordova and Morneault. They are further behind 2nd place
San Bernardino than we had hoped. They seem poised to
change the outcome at Colton in 3 weeks.

Cajon had a tough day at CIF to make a long story short. We
won't hang our heads but we are all a lil' unsatisfied. We
need to find a way to run well at SAC in November. The few
highlights were Sarah's 9th place finish, Mike's sub 18 and
Anthony's first sub 19 at SAC in his last race. Many changes
are to come for the upcomming 2003 season and we
believe that many Varsity spots will be won and lost
depending our our teams work ethic and commitment to our
program. The work begins NOW for the upcomming Track
season. How good do you want to be??????????????
