CAJON COMPETES WELL AT MT CARMEL MEET IN SAN
DIEGO, CA

Cajon passed on the Woodbridge Invite to challenge the
hills of coastal San Diego. It is safe to say the good times
were to be had for many. With all athletes competing in
their
grade level races, five runners emerge with top 15
finishes.
Andrew Duenez ran avery consistant pace finishing 13th
in
his Sophmore race. Te Junior girls and Senior boys races
proved to be entertining with four Cajon runners scoring
top
8 finishes.
In the girls race, Nicole Chesnut held a strong paced lead
for the first half of the race and held on to an eighth place
finish. Lauren Nila, ah-la Mt Sac.... Comes from behind to
capture second over all in 17:03 for 2.70 miles. In the
boys
race, Cordova led early on and held on to finish 5th in a
great time of 16:31. Albert Diaz came from just inside the
top
20 to finish 8th in 16:41 for 2.95 miles.
In other races, Gallo, Carlisle, Rutledge, Holt, Avila, L,
Jiminez, and Navarro finished in the top 50 to earn
medals.
Matt McKenzie and Elizabeth DeCecio worked their way on
to the Varsity squads for Wednesdays SAL meet.

MT SAC DOESN'T SLOW CAJON

Cajon runners compete well at Mt Sac 2-mile event.
Runners finishing in the top 10 in their event include
Lauren
Nila 12:31, 3rd in the Junior Race; Nicole Chesnut 12:35,
5th in the Junior Race where 165 runners competed.
Chris Cordova ran for a mile with three of the nations best
from La Sierra and Rancho Cucamonga. He faded just a bit
to finish 7th in 10:24. Go to dyestatcal.com to find
results
from Fastback Shootout. Times will be posted on

CAJON RUNS WELL AT MT SAC TUNE-UP

Cajon runs well in pre-season dual against Victor Valley
HS.
Although VVHS was unable to fill a complete team, Cajons
top runners fought off the heat to run very well. In the
girls
race, Nicole Chesnut set the pace and won the girls race in
a tad over 22:00 to set a new course record. Also running
well for the ladies was newcmmers Kim Gallo and Rebekah
Fraizer, both finishing in the top 5. Further down in the
junior
varsity ranks, Aleecia Diaz ran well enough to be
considered
for a Varsity spot. Our top Freshman runner was Brianna
Oden.
The boys race was dominated by Senior Chris ("You don't
know me.") Cordova who cruised to a sub-17 finish and
new
course record. Albert Diaz ran 2nd ahead of VVHS top
finisher. Andrew Duenez, CJ Sauceda and Elliott Holt
rounded out the top 5 finishers. Sophmore Matt McKenzie
also showed signs of improvment finishind 6th.

MT SAC PROVES TOO TOUGH FOR SAL TEAMS ONCE
AGAIN

Cajon struggles at CIF Prelims with very few runners
competing well. Chris Cordova and Kelsea Plimmer earned
Cajon's top spots, each lacing 40th in their heats. Our
Seniors struggled in there last race of the season. For
complete results, go to:

CAJON SHOWS CLASS IN SAL

A number of people, Athletic Directors included have
expressed appriciation in how Cajon handled themselves
following the loss at SAL finals. As coaches, we could ask
for no more. With loss there is always disappointment, but
with Cajon there is an outpouring of respect for all. IP
adresses from our forum have proved that not all teams
share the same respect and we are glad to be a part of
this
program at Cajon. Once again, our hat goes off to Coach
Sanchez and his athletes which showed respect in victory.
They had a great race.
Cajon teams, thank you for showing CHARECTER. Also,
remember, "Your true charecter is who you are when
nobody else is around."

KELSEA PLIMMER RUNS AWAY WITH SAL TITLE AS SAN
GORGONIO FLEXES MUCSLE TO RUN AWAY WITH BOYS
TEAM TITLE AND SHARE OF GIRLS

San Gorgonio High peaked for the right race at the right
time
at Pacific SAL finals race Saturday. Knowing that both
Cajon
teams were needing good performances from all, all is not
well on the North End of our city.
Cajon boys were outpaced thruought the entire race. We
had a couple of runners compete well but it wasn't
enough.
We know where we had to race and it just was not our
day,
once again. With Ulmer struggling and the fact that San G
placed 4 runners in the top 5, it set the stage for what was
to
come. Our fifth runner needed a good race, however it is a
tall task to beat that pack of Spartans without a pack of
our
own. They ran a great race.
Cajon girls had to settle for a tie with San Gorgonio as
they
preceeded the boys race in similar fashion. Our flicker of
light came from two Cajon girls. Defending SAL champion
was not threatened as she cruised to her second
consecutive title in 19:50. At the 1 1/2 mile point
Freshman
Brianna Carlisle became a true team competitor,
sacrificing
her chances of running in the top 5 by trying to help
encourage Lauren Nila, who was struggling to keep up
with
her usual form. Nila fell a bit ill during pre-race warm up.
Carlisle knew that if Nila was unable to keep the pace, our
team would not stand as much of a chance. She knew
exactly what was happining as San G had 6 runners in
front
of her at this point. When Nila was unable to keep the
pace,
Brianna marched back through the field from 11th to
place
5th and receive first team all-league honors. "It was the
greatest display of sportsmanship, 'TEAM PLAYERNESS',
awareness and sacrifice I have ever been a part of at this
level of competition.
Cajon fell short on Saturday. Still, we have learned so
much
more about our athletes, about coaching and about
preperation to lead us towards next season. San G ran
very
well and they are deserving champions.
Congratulations to Cajon athletes Chris Cordova, Kameron
Ulmer, Joey Ibarra, Albert Diaz, Kelsea Plimmer, Nikki
Chesnut and Brianna Carlisle; who have earned All-SAL
honors.

And to KELSEA PLIMMER 2005 SAL Champion

10/23/05

CORDOVA-PATERSON-DIAZ-IBARRA-PLIMMER RUN WELL
AT MT SAC

Cajon had some runners run well at Mt Sac last Saturday.
Two athletes solidified their spot on the varsity squad for
this weekends SAL Final. Kameron Paterson and Albert
Diaz ran sub-18 and will compete for a league title with
Ulmer, Cordova, Ibarra, Holt and a runner to be
announced
later. Cajon outran San Gorgonio in the varsity event,
however top runners from each school have trouble in the
hills.

Plimmer was the one bright spot for the girls as she ran to
a
third place finish in the Sophmore race under 19:30.
Others
struggled on the cool day in Walnut, CA.

BITTER SWEET DAY AT SAL MEET #2

Cajon girls behind Lauren Nila (19:55) and posse' cruise to
victory at Cajon on Wednesday. The win put's Cajon in a
virtual lock for at least a tie for the league title, however
there
is still work to be done.
Cajon girls received a huge lift from Sophmore Brianna
Carlisle who finished a solid 5th in the race helping to
place
4 girls in the top 5. Nila outran Tanisha Hunt of San
Gorgonio for the victory. Carlisle, a new runner this
season
has improved from 24 + minutes to an impressive 20:46.
All
the above is with limited mileage and no Summer
workouts.
Kelsea Plimmer and Nikki Chesnut rounded out the top 4
in
this important SAL win. Amber Qureshi was Cajon's
important 5th runner in 15th place 21:58. Not bad for a
girl
who ran near 30 minutes just a few years back.

On the boys side, San Gorgonio came to Cajon and flexed
their muscle to outrun league leading Cajon on their home
course 31-37. Kameron Ulmer made a great late race
move
to defeat defending league champion Lee Knowlton to win
in 16:14. Chris Cordova was third in 16:41. The race was
lost when San Gorgonio had runners outpace Ibarra and
Owens by slim margins. "San G was prepared, they knew
what they had to do, and they got the job done with little
resistance from Cajon," stated Coach Eric Abrams of
Cajon.
"They deserved to win."
Cajon runs at Mt Sac on Oct 22nd. The league title will be
won in the hills. This is the litmus test.

CAJON FROSH/SOPH TEAM MINUS CARLISLE CAPTURE
COUNTY TITLE

The story of the day for Cajon belongs to the Frosh Soph
team of Kelsea Plimmer, Lauren Nila, Nikki Chesnut,
Michelle Fletcher,Randi Spray, Danielle Fletcher, Ana
Medrano and Elizabeth Dececio. These girls outran all
other
Medium Schl Division teams to bring home the
Championship trophy over Great Oak, Ramona, and a slew
of other quality Riverside and San Bernardino County
schools at the County meet at Guasti Regional Park in
Ontario, CA.
Plimmer racked up another second place finish and Nila
another third. Chesnut ran consistantly well finishing
fifth.Fletcher and Spray finished in the top 30 team
finishers
to secure an 11 point win over Great Oak, 66-77. Kelsea
Plimmer took home additional honors placing 7th out of
all
Sophmore runners from our county. Nila and Chesnut
were
in the top 10.

Our varsity boys were a point shy of fourth place in their
competition. Kameron Ulmer led the way with a solid 16:
16
placing him 9th best Senior in the county. Chris Cordova
was sub 16:30 and ran very well. Ther were followed by
Joey
Ibarra, Patrick St Louis and David Owens.

Our boys Frosh/Soph finished a strong 5th as well. The
biggest suprise of the day came out of this race where
many
personal best were achieved. None better however than
Kameron Pattersen's 17:38. Kameron has worked his way
onto the Varsity for the next meet. Coaches have a tough
decision on who to move out if Albert Diaz (knee) is ready
to
run. Pattersen was Cajon's 5th overall finisher. On the bus
trip home, coaches decided to reward him with a shot on
the Varsity team for Wednesdays SAL mini. Awsome job
guys.

INLAND EMPIRE CHAMPIONSHIP vs SAT's

Although the San Bernardino/Riverside County
championships are Saturday, so is the SAT. In a world
where
standardization is the norm, the SAT testing takes
precidence over our County meet, as well it should.
Wether
your a fan of the the test or not, it is the criteria for which
most american colleges base your chances for acceptence.
So, with our Seniors holding # 2 pencil in hand, the rest of
us will compete, at one level or another for some small
piece of hardware from Saturdays meet at Guasti Park in
Ontario, CA. Many medals will be won as the awards there
run deep. Running without a full Varsity squad, the
cowgirls
will compete for Sophmore prowess. Our boys should
favor
the varsity race unless Ulmer decides to test his wit in the
at
the SAT event. Our Freshman boys will be 10 strong and
could run well if we get 5 under 18:30. Guasti is one of
two
flat courses remaining on our 2005 campaign. Fast times
are there fro the taking. Our top athletes in each race
should
compete for top ten positions. I look for our Frosh boys to
show off their talents this race for the first time since
Colton
really. It takes mileage to adapt to mileage. By know, they
have it. Good luck Cowboys/girls.

CAJON HAS UP AND DOWN DAY AT YUCAIPA'S NEW
COURSE

On a day where our athletes ran their first hill course after
only one week of hilltype running, Cajon see's verying
results. The hill was no challenge for runners like Carlos
Cazeras, a freshman who had a lifetime PR of 21:58.
Michele Fletcher and Brianna Carlisle ran well when they
had to in the girls frosh-soph race to help them capture
the
runner-up award behind Aliso Niguel of the OC. Riverside
Poly had a slightly better team score, however the placing
is
based on time. Cajon covered the course about :20
seconds faster. Plimmer-Nila-Chesnut finished 2-3-4 out
of
the over 80 runners in the race. {Chesnut ran 20:20 not
19:20}
The boys running without number 3-4 runners Ybarra and
Diaz split up to run age group races as well. Frosh-Soph
boys were tenth. In the Varsity race, Ulmer faded out of
the
top 5 to 17th but still managed to run an impressive 16:
17.
Cordova ran cnsistant, not gaining or losing many sport to
clock in at 16:37. With Carsten Galindo, (Fracture) out for
the
season, the team welcomes back Kirk Sundstom, back
from injury. Once in shape, he could be a major player in
SAL.

CAJON'S KAMERON ULMER RUNS SUB-16:00 AND
COWGIRL SOPHMORE GROUP OUTRUNS WOODBRIDGE
HIGH FOR 2ND PLACE AT DANA HILLS

ATHLETES (Click STANDINGS & STATISTICS to view all our
times from all races.

Kameron Ulmer reached a lifetime PR and surpassed one
of two pre-season goals at Dana Hills on Saturday. Ulmer
covered the course in 15:46, becoming Cajons first sub
-16
runner in recent memory. Kameron finished 7th in the
Senior race. Coaches gave him a target time of sub-14 at
the 700m to go mark. He passed the mark in 13:58 and
turned it up a notch to break the 16 min barrier. In the
same
race, a lifetime best was achieved by Carsten Galindo
running sub-18 for his first time.
Many other Cajon runners reached lifetime best on the
fast
course, just two days after competing in a league race and
an invitational. Among them were Chris Cordova, who
clocked in at 16:07, bettering his PR by :12 seconds.

Our Cowgirls cruised to a solid finish in the Sophmore
race.
Cajon placed the usual suspects into the top 10 once
again,
and for the third time in four days. Until today, Cajon has
had
only two girls ever break the 19:00 mark. Alyda Fletcher,
class of 2002 held a DIV III freshman top time at DANA
Hills
for a while running 18:48. Sarah Sundstrum, class of 2004
has Cajons All-Time best mark of 18:29 at Dana Hills in
2001 and Cajons All-Time best mark ever at 18:20. Sarah
ran this PR at Mt SAC.

Today, Cajon placed two more girls under 19:00. Kelsea
Plimmer (18:42) and Lauren Nila (18:49) helped Cajon
match Woodbridge High stride for stride for a 2nd place
finish. Nikki Chesnut (19:06) is knocking on the door too.
In
the same race, Michelle Fletcher is coming into shape as
she runs a season PR (21:58), followed by more PR's with
Brianna Carlisle (22:11), Randi Spray (22:34), Lindsey
Skidmore (23:57) and Ana Medrano (24:04).
Senior Raquel Arelano ran well in her race as well.

NO PRACTICE MONDAY.

HI
DESERT RESULTS

Against others better judgement, Cajon runs on back to
back days and manages to capture some hardware in the
high desert. The Cajon girls led, this time, by Nikki
Chesnut
(5th) run good enough for secong place behind DIV III
power
Yucca Valley. Once again our girls place three in the top
10
and outrun some quality teams. Today, Burroughs
Ridgecrest, Barstow, Woodcrest Christian and Cochella
Valley fall victim to an improving cowgirl squad. SAL
winner
Kelsea Plimmer was 6th and Lauren Nila finished 9th on
the challenging Blue Skies Countryclub course. Brianna
Carlisle kept pace with Raquel Arellano and Amber
Qureshi
to give Cajon a solid second pack in the top 35.

The boys took a diferent approach, using the meet as a
training run. Chris Cordova found front running somewhat
hard to resist as he covered the course in 17:29, a good
time on this day. He was Cajons top finisher.

CAJON GOES TO SAL MINI MEET TO TAKE CARE OF
BUSINESS AND BUSINESS WAS GOOD

SAL
RESULTS

On a warm day in San Bernardino, Cajon was HOT. Cajon
left no question that they are the team to beat this
season.
Yes, both boys and girls teams have placed the provervial
targets on their backs. Success began in the girls JV race
where Cajon and San G placed five girls in the top 10.
Even
though we were second, we did well with our bottom five
runners. Michelle Fletcher was 2nd in 23:16, Lindsey
Skidmore 5th @ 24:08 and Danielle Fletcher was 6th in
24:12. Randi Spray and Ana Medrano rounded out the top
10 in just under and just over 25 min respectivly. The girls
were second to San G 32-23.
Our JV boys were even stronger with Matt McKenzie
placing
second behind a San G senior. He was followed by a string
of Cajon runners in order. Those runners were Christian
Berglund, Dean Navarro, Andrew Duenez and Kameron
Patersen. Cajon won the boys JV 21-39 over San G.
In the Varsity races, Cajon showed off their talents against
some worthy opponents. Coming into the meet the scene
was set. Early season invitationals showed close
competition between girls teams San G and Cajon. On the
boys stage Pacific, San G and Cajon were preped to battle.
Before the sun set into the smog, Cajon had cleared the
air.
The boys victory was our first SAL win in over 20 years.
The
girls rose to the challenge to maintain their stronghold
towards a second consecutive SAL title. Kelsea Plimmer
and Kameron Ulmer paced the field running the new
Arroyo
Valley course in Course record times 19:53 and 16:26.
Nikki
and Lauren finished 2-3 in the low and mid 20's. Cajon
received a huge boost from Raquel, Amber and Amanda
who were much improved from earlier races. Placing Six in
the top 11 led to a 23-42 victory over San G for Cajon's
fourth
consecutive league win.
Chris Cordova held off last years league champion and
former Cajon runner Lee Knowlton for 2nd place in 16:40.
Big help came later in the race from Ybarra 10th, Patrick
St.
Louis 12th, David Owens 13th and Elliott Holt 15th. In the
Aftermath of Huricane Cajon, we won our first league
meet.
We have home course advantage in three weeks for SAL
#2.
We all know that home course should give us a huge
advantage.

CAJON RUNS WELL AT WOODBRIDGE

The Cajon cross country team improved team times at the
WHS Invitational.

Our girls finished ahead of SAL competition, however the
window of opportunity is still open for our persuers.
Amber
Qureshi ran a lifetime best 21:54 to help us gap out rivals.
Kelsea remained true to form finishing 17th in 19:10.
Lauren and Nikki followed closley im 19:26 and 19:38
respectivly. With a few of our top seven having less
fortunate
outings, we have not reached out goal of a sub 100 min
team time. This would be a 20:00 average per girl.
Amanda
Hodge made her return this week and she may help us
reach goals once in shape.

The Cowboys have a great day all around. Our FROSH
team
placed in the top 10 and our Juniors were 4th. Kameron
Ulmer led the way in the senior race with his team best
7th
place finish at 16:10 PR. Personal best times were
achieved by most. Some of the promising performances
came from Albert Diaz (17:06 PR), Joey Ybarra (17:20 PR),
Elliott Holt (17:48 PR) and Matt McKenzie/Kameron
Patersen
both at (18:48 PR).

To wrap it up, it was a good day heading into SAL
competition on Wednesday. There, the girls will dual with
San Gorgonio, who will try to get their entire team in
behind
our #3 to get the win. Seniors Qureshi, Hodge, Arellano
have other plans in store to seal a victory. It should be
exciting. The boys are stronger and have more depth.
Pacific
and San G should push our guys to Personal Best times on
what appears to be a very fast Arroyo Valley Course.

IT IS DEJA VU' ALL OVER AGAIN FOR CAJON AT THE
COLTON SWARM

The cross country teams improved greatly from last
seasons performances, however our team positions
remained the same. Cajon boys finished 4th behind RIM,
Apple Valley and Etiwanda. The boys ran great for the first
meet of the season. The girls finished second behind DIV
III
power Rim of the World. It was a great day for all,
especially
our Sophmores and Seniors, with our two freshman
running
great as well. Stellar performancs were achieved in all
grade levels.

FRESHMAN

The boys freshman were led by Washington native
Christian
Berglund who placed 2nd in the race. He left everything
on
the course and his efforts were surely noticed by the
crowd.
Other top freshman included Matt McKenzie, Austin
Peyton,
Kameron, Andrew and others.

The freshman girls were led by Breanna Carlisle who
finished in the top 15. Her mom was a coach at Cajon in
the
1990's. Ana had a great race finishing ahead of several
other freshman runners.

SOPHMORE

Elliott Holt improved by several minutes his freshman
debut
time of last season. He went from the mid 20's to near 18
minutes. Newcommer David ran well while not feeling well
coming in under 18 minutes in his cross country debut.

Our Sophmore girls picked up where they left off last
season with near repeat performances in the 10th grade
race. Lauren Nila led the way this year with a second place
finish followed by Kelsea Plimmer in third just seconds
behind Lauren Nila in 19:30 something. Nikki Chesnut
was
forth in just a few clicks over 20 minutes. Michelle
Fletcher,
Randi Spray and Danielle Fletcher rounded out a Cajon
dominated 10th grade race.

JUNIORS

Chris Cordova ran the smartest race of his career at the
swarm. Marred in the top 15 at the start, Chris settled in
the
top 10 for the first mile. With a split around 5:35, he
decided
he better move. "My mile split was 5:40 so I knew I
needed
to run faster," he stated after the race. Faster he ran! He
moved into the top 5 somewhere during the second mile
and closed a 200m gap between himself and the leader
during the final mile. Not wanting to settle the score on
the
track, Cordova put plenty of distance between himself and
the strong RIM runner. Chris arose victorious for the finst
time in cross country at a big invitational. He cleared the
course in 16:18, setting a new course recored on the
motified course. That was just the beginning as Cajon saw
six runners place in the top 20. Albert Diaz placed just
behind the 2004 SAL champ clocking in at 17:19. Joey
Ybarra ran mid 17's and Patrick St Louis clocked under 18
for his first time ever. Dean Navarro rounded out the top
five
followed by Kirk Sundstrom, who grimmaced thru some
hip
pain for the entire race to still time under 18:30.

SENIORS

Kameron Ulmer, much like Cordova, may have just ran the
race of his life to date. He battled hard the last mile,
keeping
in touch with the lead pack just enough to post a lifetime
best 16:14 on that course. Instead of falling back and
settling for a distant 5th place finish, he fought all the way
to
the tape, closing in of the 4th-3rd positions finishing just
2
seconds out of 3rd place. "He ran the way a top Senior
athlete should run." Aaron Williams ran an outstanding
first
race finishing in 18:03, making the 100m-200m star;
turned
800m(2:01) star; turned 400m (48sec) star a top seven
Varsity cross country star. Keep your eyes on this guy.
Our two Senior girls Amber Qureshi and Raquel Arellano
ran well in the heat of their senior race to help Cajon
finish
2nd as a team in the Swarm. Both studious seniors ran
personal best times on the course on their way to top 20
finishes.

38TH ANNUAL COLTON SWARM 9/10/05

472 runners and 20 schools participated in the SWARM
Invitational this year, over doubling the size of the race in
only 3 years time. This was the largest race we have had
in
at least 7 years. The course had to be tweaked ever so
slightly because of ongoing construction around the
school
and a new fence being built around the varsity baseball
field
which caused a bit tighter turn for the main loop. Palm
Desert had bad luck on the way with their bus breaking
down, but made it safely and raced well. Schools from
L.A.,
Riverside, and San Bernardino counties participated, with
all the San Bernardino schools, including Aquinas and
their
new coach Ron Perez (Colton High course record holder at
15.00!) participated. The high desert was represented with
Apple Valley as well as the low desert with La Quinta, Palm
Valley, and Palm Desert. Other schools were Arroyo Valley,
CAJON, CC Moreno Valley, Etiwanda, A.B. Miller, Norte
Vista,
Pacific, Perris, Ramona, Rialto, Rim of the World, San
Bernardino, San Gorgonio, and yeah, Colton! Many old
running and coaching friends from the I.E. were reunited
Saturday.

The girls freshmen race was an all Riverside 1-2-3 sweep
with Tiffany Koslik of Ramona at 20.29, Jennifer Rodriquez
of Perris at 21.12, and Andreana Banuelos of CC Moreno
Valley at 21.36.

Amanda Robles of Dave Japs Rialto High team led a very
strong girls soph. race and earning the second fastest
overall time in 19.09! Cajon’s terrific trio of Lauen Nila
19.38, Kelsea Plimmer 19.43, and Nicole Chesnut 20.14
pack ran for the next 3 spots, leading them to a team 2nd
place finish overall and as one of the favorites along with
San Gorgonio to vie for the San Andreas League title.

In the girls junior race, Rim’s duo of Sara Crowder and
Ariel
Fey took 1st and 3rd overall leading them to the team
title.
Crowder led practically the whole race with Islas of Norte
Vista coming in a distant 19.58 in second place. Apple
Valley had 4 runners in the top 12!

The sun peaked out, nearly ruining a perfect day for the
girls
senior race. Another strong performance by Tera Escalera
of Rim was given with Linn of Norte Vista not far behind in
20.29. San Gorgonio had a trio of runners next in Tracey
Melgoza 20.44, sprinter (or is it distance runner now)
Tanisha Hunt in 20.47, and Hollie Hart in 21.10 helping
G-Force as they call themselves to a third place overall
finish.

Coach Nunes of Apple Valley was proud in his son Sam’s
victory in the boys freshmen race, taking it all the way in
18.08. Christian Berlund of Cajon and Hector Gomez of
Arroyo took the next 2 spots in 18.29 and 18.44
respectively.

Apple Valley had 4 runners in the top 8 in the sophomore
race with Angel Moyeda running away with the title in
16.47,
Taylor Whiteside taking 2nd in 16.54, Scott Heacox in 5th
in
17.02, and A.J. Pulice in 8th in 17.24 forming a great
nucleus for the future of the high desert school. Humberto
Haro was 3rd overall in 16.58.

Chris Cordova ran a very well-planned race, sticking just
behind the lead pack most of the way and sticking it to
them
for a victory with a very quick 16.18. Rim’s Jose Lara was
close behind in 16.23 flying down the track and Gabriel
Estrada of Miller was 3rd in 16.42. Cajon had several top
20
runners.

Caleb Mesa was just amazing in his well hammered victory
in the senior race. He won by 7 seconds in 15.40 and
seemed to float on the ground. This was one of the all
time
best times at the course joining the ranks of Poe, Tesfa,
and
Trafeh. Matt Reyes wasn’t far behind in his 15.47 time just
behind Mesa. James Johnstone or Rim and teammate Matt
Prentice took 3rd and 4th with 16.12 and 16.13 times,
leading Rim to the team title. Kameron Ulmer of Cajon and
Jose Sanchez of Etiwanda were 1 and 3 seconds behind in
tight positioning. Apple Valley took second overall
in 84.23
and Bennie Gooden’s Etiwanda team was 3rd in 85.16.
