History
Ron Paulo:
Ron grew up on the family ranch in Livermore, California and began riding at 5. At 15 he helped his father start young horses. Their horses were bred for ranch work and trained to perform an array of tasks, from sorting to roping. In high school he began to participate in rodeo events and was the 1984 US High School Roping Champion. Ron then went on to Hartnell College and participated in the NIRA in th eevents of bareback riding and team roping. There he was asked to teach a colt starting class and had 13 students who recieved horses from BLM. Ron then continued on to Cal Poly and obtained his B.A. in Agricultural Business. In 1989 Ron joined the Professional Cowboys Rodeo tour and was 23rd in the world his rookie year. After returning from an injury, he was invited to perform in rodeo show for local tourists in Guam. Since his return in 1993, he has ridden for such greats as Les Oswald and Lou Fisher. Ron is enthusiastic about persuing a professional career in bringing along working western horses.
