Meet Coach Scott

Scott learned to skate at Lakeshore Ice rink in a learn to skate program when he was in the 7th grade. After he moved to Pennsylvania in the 9th grade he continued his skateing, he traveled to Canada to attend the Huron Hockey School. There he learned the skills necessary to move on to his junior varsity and varsity high school hockey teams. One of his greatest moments in sports was when his team went to the State Championship game in Pittsburgh. His team lost but Scott managed to get a game misconduct, a five minute major, and was thrown out of Pittsburgh Civic Area a.k.a. the Igloo. This was all caught on home video proving it must have been the ref! His hockey travels have allowed him to play in several pro arenas including the NHL Washington Capitals' old Landover facility, the IHL Erie Panther's arena and Johnstown Chief's arena. 

Scott loves the game and has directed his efforts to coaching young players the game! Scott, in his last few years in Pennsylvania coached Mite, Pee Wee and Junior High School Hockey! Now in his first year as a coach go our MCYH Pee Wee Gnats!

Besides hockey, Scott also has a passion for Volkswagen Beetles. He has restored his 1974 Super Beetle from the ground up which is his pride and joy affectionately named "Eddie". He is an active member of the Finger Lakes Region Volkswagen Club and loves to go to VW shows all over. Last summer he placed 2nd in a bug show in Webster with Eddie. His other passion is his parrot, Gus, that he spoils rotten.  Since he was a little kid he has wanted a bird and now he has Gus, a Quaker parrot that talks (much too much at times!)
