A little bit about your coach and director, Miss Michelle Moore...

I have been involved in artistic sports since I was five. Though I primarily have a background in dance, I have always loved twirling and that's why I decided to dedicate myself to this great sport.

I started twirling at age eight and consider myself a team specialist. While at Renita's Baton and Dance, my team and I brought home several state and regional titles with Twirling Unlimited. In 1995 I moved to Florida and joined Legacy Twirling Corps, and, along with my team, brought home several more titles, including a National Championship. That same year I also became the Senior National Flag Solo Champion.

It was through Legacy I truly realized my love of coaching, and, in addition to competing, I spent five years working with the recreation and competitive programs. In 2005 I started Phenomenon Twirling and Dance. Our first year competing we brought home a National Championship from USTA. Heading into our third season we are planning on repeating that same feat in 2008.

In addition to my experience, I feel all coaches should look out for the safety, well-being and proper training of their athletes. This is why I am a certified United States Twirling Association Level I & II Coach and Judge.
