13th July – Summer Championships

Pom;

Great effort Ladies, really well performed considering we were making the final touches at training on Wednesday!! I think the nerves got to some of you a little though, much more smiling required on next performance. Positioning on arena, spacing’s and lines also need to be improved but I think we’re there in terms of content. Just want to make a couple of changes tonight to ‘Rumble’ formation just a little too static.
Well done Lana, your individual moves are WOW (you’re so strong for a little petite thing!!) positioning team on arena let you down today but being the perfectionist you are, I’m sure this won’t happen again ha ha!
Really well done for the 1st place, well deserved, we were placed 1st by 2 judges and 2nd by the other. New dance and exit looked great, overall fantastic performance you should all be really proud of yourselves.
Also, a personal well done to Kellyann first time out for Pom!! Go Girl x

PS – well done for no drops ha ha!!

Military;

Gosh, every time you perform, this routine I get goose! It just seems to be getting better and better! Just a few lines slightly out but apart from this nearly spot on. Timing has certainly improved as the season has progressed and you have all got the ‘Comet’ deportment back that was dropped slightly over the last couple of Season’s. Outstanding performance ladies, credit to you all!!

Well done again Beck and Beth, Becky your best Leader performance to date congratulations on your 1st place. Beth sweetheart, really well done, you do great keeping up with the rest of the old timers!! Keep persisting with your exit solo you WILL pull it off!! x

We were placed 1st by all 3 judges so let’s keep it up. As I keep saying, it’s hard getting to the top but even harder staying there??!!

Rycroft Angels Competition - 1st June

Well done for 1st place!! Not our best dance but under the circumstances I think you all coped very well! Lot's of last minute changes due to Angie and Emma not dancing and I know a few of your were in completely different positions doing completely different exchanges etc.

Far, far too many drops today ladies ...41!! alot of those were silly one's so alot of work needs to go into reducing these. I don't think one exchange came off today but I suppose every one has bad dances!!

Despite this, it was good to see you all still looking like you were enjoying yourselves and putting loads of energy into every dance.

Well done to Kel and Hel, you really do work well together...a bit of a comedy duo!!! That was hilarious with the fighting over the baton!!...not that I want that to happen again ha ha!

Your were placed 1st by one judge and second by the other two, so loads of room for improvement there. I'm also looking forward to us getting back to a full compliment!!

You were a joy to watch again ladies, really well done!!

Pontins Prestatyn - 18-20th April 08

Firstly congratulations to every one of you, you all danced your socks off and deserved all you got!! All those painful weeks of blood sweat and tears certainly paid off. What a fantastic start to the season, credit to you all!!

As I"ve said on many occasions, it is an absolute pleasure and honour to train such a dedicated, committed and talented team of girls. Our motto has always been "work hard, play hard" and didn"t we do just that?!!

Well done to Mascots and Leaders, Kellyann & Helen you"re a great team....I have a feeling there"s lots more to come?!! wink wink!! THAT move definately needs to be more visible!!

Becky and Bethany, I think you may be the only Mother and Daughter mascot and leader in the association??? Fantastic result, Bethany you blend in so well with the oldies, I think we all forget sometimes that you haven"t had the 20 yrs experience that the majority of the team have had. Well done sweetheart.

A massive thank you to our supporters Mags, Yvonne, Linda, Lynn, Joanne, Lynette, Sue and Elise for coming along. Linzi how frustrating must it have been for you to have to sit and watch but baby Bradley will be here before we know it and you will be back performing just in time for the Universals! A special thank you to Di & Andy we were all so pleased that you were well enough to join us, Diane we all wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to you cheering us on in the Spa in November!!

Thanks again to Linda and Elaine for your efforts with the show uniforms all those hand sewn sequins...nightmare!!! Simon, you excelled yourself with our military uniforms thank you for being our No1 costume designer, hope you can still make Bridlington?!

So, the routines are looking good we now need to focus on perfecting them but overall only wanting to make a couple of changes which is great. We will also now be able to spend sometime on the Pom and get that out later in the season too.

My last thanks goes out to all our Husbands/Partners/Families who have to share us with our passion of majorettes and allow us all this crucial time together!!

Right I"m off to bed now, I am struggling to keep my eyes open and gettiong slightly emotional.
