History

Starlite Twirlers is a Baton Twirling group, which was set up five years ago by our trainer Claire MacDavid when she moved to our small village of Metheringham on the outskirts of lincoln.

The troupe started of with around twelve members but this quickly grew to around forty which we roughly keep now.The age ranges from 3 to 36.

We joined our first association BIMA now BIBTA straight away and 18 months into training we became Junior regional and National Milatary champions. Also gaining a 2nd in Baton and 3rd in Pom Pom. The following year we put out a Junior and Senior team. The Juniors became Triple National Champions this year & the Seniors became double regional champions.

We have won so many awards since then and have continued to progress. Members have competed individually and as teams & all have done extremley well. We display in and out of the county through each season. Including Lincoln christmas market, Metheringham fayre and feast and Boultham park.

Over the years we have been part of three associations, BIBTA, NBTA & GBBTA ( the one which we are currently at.)
