History

The troupe was founded in 1998 and for the first year had only 2 members. Over the next year the numbers slowly grew and although there have been a few coming and going, the number attending now stands at 19 with girls from Perth and Strathmiglo.

The girls have taken part in parades in the area during the summer and competitions during the rest of the year.

In 2005 Kylie, Sarah, Heather and Lisa went to Slovenia as part of the scottish squad in the Europa Cup of Clubs. In July 2007 Heather took part in the European Championships in Holland.

In June 2007 some of the team took part in the BBTSA British Open in Bells Sports Centre, Perth.

If you would like to be part of Lochleven Diamonds, whether you are a complete beginner or have twirled before, the details are on the contact page or come along any Wednesday night to the Sports Hall at Kinross High School at 6pm. The cost per class is £2.50 with the first night free. The group is non profit making and all fees go into the club funds.
